Ramona Swearingen

August 2018

Ramona Swearingen I would like to start first by thanking the Middle Georgia Consortium for helping me on my journey to success. At the age of 34, I decided I wanted to go back to school for an Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy. Little did I know I would not have any financial aid because I was over in my SAE hours. A friend of mine told me I should go to the Middle Georgia Consortium in Houston County. Without any hesitation I was approved and they agreed to pay for my full tuition!! Not only did they agree to pay for my tuition, they paid for my scrubs for clinicals, stethoscope, my required shoes, transportation and childcare assistance. I am now a graduate of the May 2018 respiratory therapy program from Middle Georgia State University. If it wasn’t for the Middle Georgia Consortium paying my full tuition for these past two years I would not be where I am today. I will be forever thankful!
