Denni Greenhalgh

May 2019

I have always known I wanted to become a nurse. I returned to school later in life and committed myself to pursuing my degree, but I was uncertain of how I would make things work financially. I attended orientation after being accepted into the nursing program and heard about the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program. I figured I would apply and just hope for the best, but I was surprised when I received a call a few days later and was accepted into the program. The whole process was quick and simple. I met with Cristie to fill out my paperwork and she explained everything to me in detail. She has been so awesome throughout this process and she and WIOA have been an enormous blessing to me. I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done. I graduated on May 9, 2019 from MGA with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and fulfilled a dream of mine that wouldn’t have been possible without the Middle Georgia Consortium’s help. Thank you to everyone who helped make this journey a little less stressful!
